The team

A small group doing serious quantum work.

Transilvania Quantum is a compact team of researchers and builders based in Cluj-Napoca. We keep it small on purpose — the people who do the research are the same people who deliver the advisory and build the tools.

Core team

The people behind the research, the advisory, and the tools.

Sorin Boloș
Sorin Boloș
Software engineer. Quantum security researcher

Sorin is an experienced software engineer specializing in enterprise and cloud solutions. After spending several years at UiPath, a top Romanian technology company, he now researches the security and reliability of quantum computers. He has presented his findings on this topic at BlackHat USA and published work with IEEE.

Currently, Sorin leads the post-quantum advisory.

Radu Mărginean
Radu Mărginean, PhD
Physicist. Software engineer.

Radu earned his PhD at Ohio State University in the US and worked at Fermilab, where he researched elementary particles. He then transitioned to software engineering. He wrote software for IonQ and is a key contributor to open-source software, building tools for quantum computers.

He is the builder of Uranium and Quantum Flows.
